MOU signing and seminar on Eco and Defensive Driving in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on 12 December 2016

Sustainable Freight Transport and Logistics in the Mekong Region, leaded by GIZ, together with Cambodian Ministry of Public Works and Transport jointly organized seminar on 12 December 2016 at Intercontinental Hotel Phnom Penh. This seminar aims to provide the knowledge and experiences on Eco and Defensive Driving and how its benefits to transport and logistics companies in Cambodia. There were more than 100 participants from various organizations both public and private sectors such as Ministry of Public Works and Transport, Ministry of Industry and Handicraft, Port Authority, member of Cambodia International Freight Forwarders Association (CAMFA), Cambodia Trucking Association (CAMTA), TUV Rheinland Cambodia, SGC Logistics Co.,Ltd

Moreover, at this seminar, project has also signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Ministry of Public Works and Transport, CAMFFA and CAMTA. This MOU is to provide a framework of cooperation and to facilitate the implementation among project partners in order to improve the truck freight transport system through promoting the development of sustainable freight transport and logistics in the Mekong Region
