Project Planning Workshop between 21-22 April 2016 in Bangkok

German International Cooperation (GIZ), GMS-FRETA and Mekong Institute (MI) has received financial support from European Union and German Ministry of Economic Development and Cooperation (BMZ) to implementation the project on Sustainable Freight Transport and Logistics in the Mekong Region. Project has officially started since 1 February 2016, to ensure that project implements activities successfully, project therefore organized planning workshop between 21-22 April 2016 in Bangkok which aims to review/update current status of target countries, identify gap/obstacles, mapping stakeholders and define activity plan for the first year. There were 36 participants from 5 countries, from project partners, international consultants, national governments such as Ministry of Transport and private sector such as MIFFA, CAMFFA, LIFFA, VATA, Highways Association, Trucking Association. After workshop, project activity plan has been drafted and ready to implement as well as the commitment of all partners.
