During 07-09 August 2018, GIZ, in collaboration with Road Transport, Ministry of Transport and Communications, organized the Training for Company (TOC) on Defensive and Eco Driving Batch 8 at Road Transport Driving School, Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar. It was the last batch of TOC in Myanmar with in-kind contribution from KTW Logistics Co., Ltd., who provided a telematic truck and Drive Master for outdoor training and on-road assessment.
Both theory in classroom and outdoor practices such as blind spot, BEWAGON, safety belt, alcohol goggles, on-road assessment, and eco-driving test were conducted by professional trainers from Road Transport, Road Transport Administration Department and a private company, KTW Logistics Co., Ltd. under Myawaddy Township Border Trade Chamber of Commerce. The eco-driving test result showed improved fuel efficiency at 16.86% and 26.95% gauged by Drive Master.
There were 28 truck drivers and 1 observer from 29 Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) joining this final defensive and eco-driving training.
