Training for Enforcement Authorities on the Transport of Dangerous Goods by Road in Vietnam

During 27-29 June 2018, Germany International Cooperation (GIZ), under Sustainable Freight Transport and Logistics in the Mekong Region which is financially supported by EU, organized the Training for Enforcement Authorities on the Transport of Dangerous Goods (DG) by Road in Sen Viet Hotel I, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

As Vietnam has become a party of DG regional agreements; namely ASEAN Framework Agreement on the Facilitation of Goods in Transit, ASEAN Framework Agreement on the Facilitation of Inter-State Transport, GMS Cross-Border Transport Agreement (CBTA Annex 1), the aim of the training is to increase knowledge and experience for relevant government agencies to better handle rules and regulations on DG Transport in compliance with the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR)2017.

There were 22 participants from concerned departments attended such as Ministry of Transport, Road Traffic Police of Ministry of Police, Road Traffic Inspection Department under Directorate for Road of Vietnam, 4 Local Transport Administration Departments nationwide and Road Traffic Police in Ho Chi Minh city.
